About Me

Hey, my name is Horst. I was born and raised in Neureut/Karlsruhe Germany. My father Christian died at the age of 29 and our mother Carmen left for the United States in 1972. I grew up with my younger brother Volker. Our grandparents Margaretha and Johann Seibert raised us. I was in love four times so far. One engagement and three marriages. I have five children and now six grandchildren. I came to America at the age of 30. I am an introvert and extrovert in one body. My first love is music. The older I get the more I want to learn, create and help. I believe in independence. Creativity is Freedom. My story has a long way to go and I will share with you in my blog everything you might want to hear to relate and to help you. Life is a journey and you plan as good as you can. Expect the Detours and make sure you are aware and prepared for option A/B/C/D! When you find yourself others will find you! Let’s start here

Elements

Gratitude
  • 1. Greater optimism: Studies show that practicing gratitude is linked to greater positive emotions and a reduction in negative feelings, leading to a more optimistic outlook on life.
  • 2. Less stress and anxiety in a crises: Research following major events like the September 11 attacks revealed that gratitude can help reduce the intensity and frequency of traumatic memories, alleviating stress and anxiety in difficult times.
  • 3. Improved physical health: Gratitude has been shown to lower blood pressure and improve sleep quality. People who practice gratitude tend to fall asleep more easily, experience deeper rest, and wake up feeling more refreshed.
  • 4. Healthier relationships: According to researchers Robert Emmons and Michael McCullough, expressing gratitude in relationships fosters a positive "upward spiral." As we become more grateful for loved ones, we naturally treat them with more kindness and respect, strengthening our bonds.
